Ethnic People
in China

The biggest ethnic
group in China is Han
Chinese, which consists of 92% of
the population. Apart from Han Chinese
who are responsible for the creation of
the Chinese
Culture that we know today, there
are 55 minority ethnic groups, each
having a distinctive culture of its own.
Some of them have possessed rich cultural
heritages, like Bai and Dongba people,
others are relatively new, such as
Manchurians (who was originated from some
Tartar tribes after the defeat of the
Mongol empire).
Here are some
young ladies from the monority groups in
their traditional ethnic costumes.
