Giant Panda for Adoption

An Australia woman is a big fan of giant panda, and donated whole year of family income to the panda family. Recently she received an adoption certificate and becomes a custodial mom for the giants. Now she and her husband are planning to settle down in Chengdu so she can be a full-time mom for her kids. Family first, sure it is. (source of info: China Daily)

9 baby giants met with their screaming fans in Chengdu on Thursday. And they are said will show up in public again during the National Day.

"Wow, pandas, you guys look so cool with such big black eyes!"
"Hi girls, don’t scream on us. It’s not a Chinese Idol contest."

A Chinese Man Eaten Alive by Tiger in His Farmland

About two weeks ago a 59-year old Chinese man got up early in the morning and went to collect mushrooms in a mountain where he and his brothers rented 50 mus of village farmland and planted larches. It is a lush forest hill semi-encircled by a river, and on the other site of the river, it is Russia.

He didn’t return home that day. His family and brothers armed with torches searched in vain. It was next morning in the bright daylight when his son spotted in thick undergrowth his mushroom bag, and following the blood stains on the grass he found in his great horror his skull that had only one eye still attached to.

Later during police search, wild tiger’s white hairs and footprints measuring 9 cm long were discovered.

It is an incident that has the villages shrouded in dreadful shadows. "During 50 years of my life," said a villager, "I encountered wild boar, black bear when collecting mushrooms, but never met a tiger. But now it seems tiger is really coming."
