Easy ... Tiger

Yesterday, an elderly cow herder living in a remote village in China’s northeast Jilin Province got up early at 5 as he always does, and drove his cattle to the grazing land at the bank of Tumen River. When he passed a woods about 300 metres from the village, he heard the sound of beast howl, and within a second he was pounded down hard on his back by a tiger. The cattle were all petrified and bellowed like mad and fled the scene at high speed, which somehow made the tiger petrified, and fled back into the woods without his meal.

When other cow herders rushed to his rescue, all they saw was blood all over and the footprints left by the wild beast. The elderly man is reported has a stable condition and expected to recover soon.

A footprint of the tiger

Recently there are several incidents of mysterious disappearance of cattle and sighting of the footprints typical of Wild Dongbei Tigers (野生东北虎). But it is the first time in decades that a tiger directly attacked human.
