In with Butler

Nowadays butlers are highly sought after in Beijing, and some of them are paid nearly 200,000 yuans a year. A seasoned professional butler usually has been trained in a three-month intensive course, with subjects ranging from PR skills, bookkeeping, time management, nutritional therapy, artistic appreciation to tea ceremony. Of 42 million families in Beijing, currently 6 per cent of them have hired a butler.

The world’s biggest outdoor LED screen is 25 m wide and 14 m in height. Since it has been installed in the heart of Shanghai last month, it broadcasts news 16 straight hours per day.
