Unemployment Upon
Graduation?
23 November
2006
Since
Chinese universities began to increase
the intake of the students few years ago,
college graduates are said to face
unprecedented tough job market. Some
reports predicted that there could be as
many as 12 millions new graduates unable
to land a relevant job after completing
their course next year. The old saying
"unemployment upon graduation"
once again becomes a catch phrase.
But the
reality seems a bit different. In fact,
there are more companies in the market
hunting for talented graduates than
previous years, with most universities
saw an unprecedented hiring binge on
Monday, November 20, when college job
fairs were held in the campuses across
China.
Chinese
Medicine in general, particularly CM
Holistic Nursing, apparently is one of
the most popular occupations at this year’s
campus job fairs. In shanghai, for
instance, more than two thirds of the
Chinese Medicine students due to graduate
in 2007 reportedly have signed a
pre-contract with a hospital.

province.
30 thousand
college students jostled into the
Job Fairs, which caused some
glass doors and handrails on
staircases become crooked.
