Goes Down Under to Hunt for Heads

Poise for a great
leap northward
A
recruitment delegation from Beijing is
setting for a good spring hunt in
Australia for top qualified professionals
who were originally from China. Led by
Beijing Human Resource Bureau, the
delegate assembly consists of a panel of
recruiting experts representing 11 major
business bodies, and is said will hold
its major recruitment meeting in Sydney
tomorrow afternoon.
According
to China’s state media, it is the first
time that Beijing launches headhunt
overseas in such a massive scale.
Although
the kangaroo kingdom is a small country
with a population (20 million) not much
larger than that in Beijing (15 million),
the head of delegate said that Australia
has a concentration of highly experienced
experts who can be involved in various
projects, particularly in those that are
Olympic-related.
Currently
there are sixty thousand Chinese with
overseas degrees working in Beijing,
accounting for a quarter of all who
studied in overseas and returned to
China.
The
preparations for this recruitment trip
started since the beginning of this year.
After a careful consideration, 60 top
quality positions for top quality
professionals have been selected to open
to Chinese applicants in Australia. The
jobs range from human recourse,
education, scientific research, commerce
to high tech, with the wage rates for
some of the positions being at the
similar or higher level to those by the
Australia standards.
So,
Kangaroos, if you’re highly qualified
and made in China, don’t miss out on
these Olympic-scented opportunities. Take
a great leap northward!
