Hatred
Under the Banner of Compassion and Voilence in
the Name of Peace
- A Wake Up Call for Chinese
Chinese people in
mainland China by and large hold a great respect
for Canada, viewing it as one of the most
modernised and civilised countries in the West.
But is it really?
Here are some comments posted on
Canadian online medias reporting on a speech that
is supposedly to promote peace and compassion (What an irony!), and
note, the sentiment reflected in the comments are
not confined to a vicious few but shared by many:
* China
is a monster, and like all monsters will one day
collapse under its own weight with a big thud,
don’t be caught underneath. [How
compassionate!]
* Who cares
what communist countries think? Harper should
tell them to go to hell. The Chinese are
Corruption. The Chinese are Poison. [How
civilised!]
* Yes tons
of Tibetan suicide bombers that the chicoms have
to watch out for everyday. Next, Norwegian
grandmother unabomber coming to downtown Peking
square! [What great peace lovers!]
* CSIS
claims that Canada is infested with thousands of
Chinese spies. I wonder if any of our discussion
members are working for the Chinese government
trying to influence the discussion on this
matter. [What a proud free speech country!]
* Advice to all
western governments, have high tariffs with this
fascist dictatorship and force all these traitor
companies which invest in it to get out. It's
well known that China has millions of spies,
including students who come here as well as
immigrants who benefit from Canada's free
education and health care and spy for China.
[That's really telling!]
The communism, as a typical
Western social invention, is as superficially
inspiring as the capitalism to a certain point,
and as fundamentally fraud as the capitalism
proven to be. China would be better off if it
adopts none of them but creates a new system
based on the thousands-year-old foundation made
of collective and distilled wisdom of deep
understanding of human consitions. However it is
up to Chinese to decide which path to take. The
twenty-five percent of the world population
certainly have no obligation to live just for the
benefits and interests of the one percent of the
world population. And if the one percent believe
it must be the case, then they are nothing else
but a bunch of true tyrants.
