Salesman's Quest

Mike applies for a
sales job at an upscale manswear store and
the manager Tim isn't impressed after viewing
his resume.
"Are you making
fun of me or making a fool of yourself?" says Tim,
"You have no sales experience but you
ask for a higher than usual salary."
"I certainly
do," replys Mike, "You must
understand that the work is so much harder
when you don't know what you're doing."
Sunday
Time's Gloomy Moment

British
Sunday Time published on Sunday an article by
a journalist whose main strength seems to be
his capability of blending facts with
fictions. And he explains what the Chinese
slogan on the photo means. "All
cooperate as one family under the glorious
nationality policy of the party," he
said, and had a great time on Sunday mocking
China's "glory".
But
the Chinese characters in the photo are
clearly read: 建设,促进廉洁 ... 党风廉政教育月活动,
meaning "the activities in the
educational month of promoting the culture of
a clean party and honest government."
The meaning of the
Chinese characters are clear but the quality
of the personal character of this journalist
is clearly not.
Then what leaves with
the Sunday Time? Maybe it is not just a
gloomy moment.
