A Chinese in Korea

Chinese character is translated into English as Jin in China, and King in Korea. When a Chinese man surnamed went to Korea, he felt elated for being addressed as royalty. "Look here, this is the difference between the backward Chinese Culture that still has a faith in the Chinese Medicine and call it the Chinese Medicine, and the progressive Korean Culture that still has a faith in the Chinese medicine but call it something else."

When he discovered that half of the population in Korea are surnamed King, he could not help but sing his praise, "O, that’s what I call the Kingdom!" And he recommended his hosts to add to their flag an image of Dragon for it is the symbol of the highest esteem in the Chinese culture. "That country," he snubbed at China, "even during the so-called feudal era of the imperial time, it had very few Kings, phew! It ought to be named as the Middle Feudal instead of the Middle Kingdom, and it certainly did not and does not deserve a Dragon-deco."

Father: Why are you doing so badly in history?
Son: Because the teacher keeps asking about things that happened before I was born!
