Forever Remembered with Horror

A 70-year old Chinese physicist, who is widely praised for knowing everything except physics, recently gave some talks on environmental issues, such as recycling energy. "Any energy that cannot be recycled cannot be called energy," declared he, stately.

So he promoted the use of hydraulic power, and urged to blow up the Himalaya Mountain with nuclear bomb to redirect the water to the drought-stricken regions in the north.

When asked how any decent human being can ever come up with such a horrible idea, he replied with a towering inspiration:

"What is that famous saying, ‘天下*亡,老夫有责’ … oh, no, that actually is ‘亡天下,老夫有责’ … nay, still doesn’t sound right, hmm, let me try this, ‘老夫有责亡天下’ … well, roughly like this … like this…" He put his leg on the arm of his chair, and kept swinging it to distract people’s attention.

His wife, who was allegedly his staunch supporter, wasn’t too impressed with him this time, and scolded her man:

"亡天下是流芳百世的大事业,何苦作此羞羞答答的鬼样子 !"

He blushed with shame and thanked his wife, "Yes, yes, you’re right here, darling, I believe I’ll be forever remembered with horror… no, no … with honour."
