Hepatitis C from
Yellow Emperor
When a
Western-trained Chinese doctor from
New York exams a Chinese patient, he
remarks on his extraordinarily yellow
complexion.
"Hepatitis
C, Doc." says the patient,
"inherited from Yellow
Emperor."
The doctor
raises his eyebrows. "In
mythology, he’s the common ancestor
of all Chinese, then how come I haven’t
got? Heaven above, I even have the
same surname Prince (Wang) while you
don’t."
"Because
I’m his descendent by blood, and
you’re his descendent by name. Just
for your information, I’m his great
x 169 … grandson."
"What’s
your prove?"
"He sent
me dreams, many times, telling me
that all his decedents have betrayed
him, but me; and his true messages
need to be spread far and wide, by
me; and the world is going to end and
only one man can safe it, and that is
me."
"You know
what," says the doctor, "I’m
gonna send you to a
psychiatrist."
"No way!
I’m an associate professor of
philosophy at a Chinese
university."
"If you’re
not insane, then you must be in a
cult - you remind me of the People’s
Temple and Heaven’s Gate."
"Oh, save
it!" snaps the patient.
"You know what is Cash for
Comments just like I know what is
Cash for Prescriptions."
