An ancient town of Ming
Dynasty was discovered recently by
the outside world, or more precisely, has
failed to continuously hind its true identity
in the deep mountains of Nanxiong (南雄) county in China’s southern
province Guangdong.
Covering an extensive
area of over ten thousand square meters, the
town was structured in a manner which is
typical of the military fortress during the
early Ming era more than 600 years ago.
Its town planning
with regard to defence mechanism is so
superb, that it is said without a local to
point the direction, an intruder would never
be able to find his way out.
